Easy way of creating Clipping Mask Adobe Illustrator
Clipping Mask is a term used when we use Adobe Illustrator,
whose function is to insert an image into a shape or other object.
so that only the area located within the shape shows the effect, clipping the artwork in the form of a mask.
clipping masks and masked objects are called clipping sets and are marked with dotted lines in the Layers panel.
we can make a set of clippings from a choice of two or more objects or from all objects in a group / group or layer.
The following guidelines apply to making clipping masks:
The object that we mask is moved into the clipping mask’s group in the Layers panel.
Vector objects can only be clipped masks, while artwork can be masked.
If we use a layer or group to create a clipping mask, the first object in the layer or group is all masks that are a subset of the layer or group.
Create the object that we want to use as a mask.
This object is called the clipping path. Only vector objects can be clipped paths.
Move the clipping path and the object that we want to mask to the layer or group.
In the Layers panel, make sure that the masking object is above the group or layer, then click the name of the layer or group.
Click Make / Release Clipping Masks at the bottom of the Layers panel or select Make Clipping Mask from the Layers panel menu.
